Kitchen kids: granola bars recipe


Ingredients

- 3 cups. rolled oats
- 1 cup. whole wheat or all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup. vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup. honey
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1-1 1/2 cups combination of dried fruit, nuts, chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Toast the rolled oats on a baking sheet in a 400 degree oven for 10 minutes.

Step 2

This will make the granola crunchy instead of chewy.

Step 3

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Step 4

Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl.

Step 5

Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet.

Step 6

Bake for 20 minutes. Take out of the oven and let cool.

Step 7

It's easier to cut the granola while still warm.
