Mutton in spicy lentil sauce

- Blend Ginger,Garlic and green chillies
Add the above paste,1 tsp turmeric,salt to the meat.Cook the meat either in pressure cooker or stock pot until it becomes tender - Wash and boil lentils in 4 cups of water .
In a sauce pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds,red chilly,asafoetida,black pepper seeds,bay leaf. After 2 minutes, add the chopped onion and cook until the onions turn light brown. - Then add roughly chopped tomatoes to the sauce
Add the remaining 1 tsp turmeric and coriander powder. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes - Then mix the boiled lentils,cooked meat and the onion-tomato sauce and cook for 15 more minutes.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with steamed white rice
