Radish and fish ball soup

Ingredients

Number of serving: 4
1 (abt 160g) fish balls - cut into 2 pieces (any type of fish balls will do)

1 (abt 300g) radish - remove, slit into two and sliced thinly

5 garlic -crushed lightly and remove skin

1 (abt 60g) tomato - sliced

1/2 tbsp anchovies/ikan bilis granules (optional)

5 tbsp olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

1-2 stalks of Chinese parsley - pluck out the leaves

Preparation

  • When oil is heated fry the garlic together with the fish balls for about 4-5 mins.
    Add tomato and pour in 1/2 liter of water.
    Let it simmer and wait for the small bubbles to appear.
    Put in the radish, anchovies granules, salt and pepper to taste.
    Once the radish is cooked, off the heat.
    Add in the Chinese parsley and stir just once or twice.
    Remove from heat to be served immediately.
