Sabudana vada with chutney

Ingredients

- Sago - 2 cups
- Potatoes - boiled and mashed - 4 medium size
- Roasted and coarsely ground peanuts -1 cup
- Green chillies - finely chopped - 4-5
- Cilantro - abt 2-3 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste and Oil to deep fry

Preparation

Step 1

Soak the sabudana, in enough water to cover it for about 4-5 hours or overnight. Drain off excess water, if any.

Step 2

Mix together sabudana, mashed potatoes, coarsely ground peanuts, chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, lemon juice and salt. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3

Divide into lemon sized balls, flatten between palms of your hands. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry vadas in hot oil till golden brown. Serve hot with peanut/yoghurt chutney.
