Almond and honey granola

3 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup sliced almonds

1/3 cup unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 cup raisins


  • Preheat your oven to 300 degrees, and line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, almonds, and salt. Melt the butter, and then pour both the butter and honey into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
  • Stir until the ingredients are mixed well; they'll form little clusters. Spread evenly onto the foiled cookie sheet, and bake in the oven for 30 minutes. About halfway through, stir the granola around to ensure even baking.
  • Towards the end of the 30 minutes, make sure to keep an eye on the granola, which can burn quickly at this time.
