Preparation

  • Step 1 - Chinese scallion pancakes
    Mix flour, sesame oil and salt. Add the boiling watergradually while mixing. Add water if needed. Form a ball, cover and leave to rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Step 2 - Chinese scallion pancakes
    Separate the ball into 8 equal pieces. Roll out the dough pieces (don't forget to flour the work surface). Brush sesame oil over the surface.
  • Step 3 - Chinese scallion pancakes
    Add chopped green onion on the surface then roll everything to form a sausage. Roll up the sausage on itself.
  • Step 4 - Chinese scallion pancakes
    Roll it out as thinly and delicately as possible.
  • Step 5 - Chinese scallion pancakes
    Heat a little oil in a frying pan over medium heat then cook the pancakes for 2 minutes. Flip and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Step 6 - Chinese scallion pancakes
    There you are, your scallion pancakes are ready !
