The name Mayak Gyeran (마약계란) literally means "drug egg" and clearly, their name doesn't lie: once you've tasted them, it's impossible to stop! With their fragrant marinade of soy sauce, garlic and chili pepper, they explode with flavor and are the perfect accompaniment to a bowl of piping-hot rice (glutinous like sushi). Observations

How long should I marinate Mayak eggs?
You can marinate them for a minimum of 6 hours, or at best overnight, to give them a good taste.

Cooking the eggs:
You can make soft-boiled eggs (6 min30) or cook them a little longer to keep the yolk melting (8 minutes), or even hard-boiled eggs (10 minutes).

Marinade:
You can adapt the quantities of the marinade ingredients. Don't hesitate to use less hot pepper if you don't eat hot food.

How to serve these Mayak eggs?
You can serve them with sushi rice. Add the halved eggs to your rice bowl, drizzle with the sauce and marinade ingredients, and enjoy!
