Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced-4

-Beetroot-2 peeled,cut in to cubes drained

Cucumber-1 peeled and cubed

Green onions-1/4 cup diagonally sliced

1/4 cup vinegar

1/4 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon sugar

1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

Salt and pepper to taste

- Tomato sauce-1 teaspoon


  • In large bowl, combine apples, beets, cucumber, and green onions.
  • In small bowl, vinegar, olive oil, sugar, allspice, salt, pepper, and, if desired, hot sauce; pour over apple mixture and toss well.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
