- Clean your asparagus, cut off the stringy part at the bottom, and remove the small bumps on the stem using a peeler.
- Place the bunched asparagus (held vertically by a string, with the tops up) in a pot of cold salted water.
- Once boiling, cook for 8 to 15 minutes depending on the thickness of your asparagus.
- When cooked, transfer them to a bowl of ice water to preserve their vibrant green color and firmness, and you're done!

You can simply drizzle some olive oil or a knob of butter in a pan, add your asparagus, and sauté them for about ten minutes over low heat, stirring regularly.
-Should asparagus be peeled?
For green asparagus, it is not necessary to peel them as they are more tender than white asparagus, which must be peeled before cooking.
-What sauce goes well with asparagus?
Several sauces pair wonderfully with asparagus, such as mousseline sauce, vinaigrette, Hollandaise sauce, and many more.
