Coach's Oats

By Eat, Drink and Be Aware (Visit website)

Good Morning!

I received a fun package yesterday filled with my absolute favorite: OATMEAL

My husband laughed and said this must be a dream come true for me. All I need now is some Food for Life Bread Products, Kashi Cereal, Fage Yogurt and Boca Burgers sent to me and I would be set!

So as you can imagine I was tempted to have oatmeal for dinner last night but held out until this morning!

Coach's Oats are prepared in an entirely new way. The groats are toasted to bring the natural sugars to the surface of the oat, then cracked into small pieces. This patented Cracked n' Toasted? process means that Coach's Oats is never mushy, always naturally delicious and cooks in just five minutes.

I love steel cut oats but rarely make them due to time so these oats sounded appealing to me.

Coach's Oats with Peaches, Cinnamon and Flax

1/4 cup of Coach's Oats
3/4 cup water

Bring water to rapid boil. Add Coach's Oats based on the chart. Reduce heat to medium boil. Cook for 4 minutes,* stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover and let stand 1 minute.

1 peach, diced
1 tbsp of ground flaxseed
drizzle agave nectar

These oats are great! I really enjoyed this bowl of oats and LOVED the texture. I was informed that you can buy them at Costco here in Texas or online at www.coachsoats.com Honestly, there is nothing better than starting out the day with a bowl of Oats!

I taught Interval Training Class at Hill Country Fitness and then came home and made myself run on the treadmill for 45 minutes. It was tough, I was not motivated and glad that I made it through. I also got in my weigh-circuit and would like to do Ab Ripper exercises before the day is over. I am also teaching Vinyasa Flow this Saturday... I am subbing and I would be lying if I told you that I am NOT nervous. Evidently, this class has a big following so I have some big shoes to fill. I am going to be working on my sequencing this afternoon. Being prepared will make me feel better.

Hunger is evident and I need to go and get some lunch.... hmm.. what to have....
