Herb Garden
94G9QSJTM593 One handy thing to always have readily available are fresh herbs. Herbs are easy to grow and maintain, as long as you water them once a day (preferably in the morning), they should be fine. Here are my little collection of herbs from my herb garden I tend to use to flavour of my cooking: My Basil Collection - Basil by far is my favourite herb, it goes well with fresh salads, spicy dishes and makes great pesto sauces. Rosemary - This herb enhances the flavours of a range of dishes; lamb dishes, roast chicken, barbecued/grilled pork, beef, fish, roast vegetables especially potatoes, pumpkin Dill - Not exactly my favourite herb (because of its slight aniseed taste) but it does go well with seafood, in particular fish dishes, creamy sauces and salads. Oregano - This herb is very popular when it comes to Greek and Southern Italian dishes so you can only guess that it goes well on top of pizzas, Greek salads, salad dressings, tomato-based sauces, risottos and pasta dishes. Thyme - Again this is a herb similar to rosemary which you can use well with roast meats as well as pates, herb breads, marinades and stuffing. Just remember when using dried herbs, be a little more discreet seeing as their flavour is a little more concentrated (stronger) compared to fresh ones.
