Paruppu(Daal) - Rasam
paruppu(daal) rasam Ingredients tomato smashed - 1 daal water - 1 cup or 250 ml tamarind pulp - 1 teaspoon rasam powder - 2 spoons salt to taste turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon corriander leaves to garnish To season mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida - 2-3 pinch smashed garlic - 2 red chilli - 1 curry leaves - little gingelly oil - 1 teaspoon Daal water Daal water can be got when you pressure cook any one of or a mixture of pulses or daal like toor daal, split channa daal or bengal gram, masoor dal, moong dal, green gram. Method In a vessel add daal water, smashed tomato, tamarind pulp, turmeric powder, rasam powder, salt and 1/2 cup of plain water. Bring to boil till foam appears. Season the given ingredients and pour on the rasam. The seasoning adds more flavour and aroma. This rasam is very good for kids also as it digests and also very healthy soup like drink as it has daal water. related searches : Paruppu
