Taiwan Delicacies

The Taiwanese government has been actively promoting the country’s tourism and we were “engaged”. Hence, hubby and I took a 4.5 hr flight to the far eastern island filled with delicacies that we have not seen before.


Upon arrival, we were greeted by my niece, who brought us to sample the Herbal Turtle soup prepared by her future father-in-law. The soup is reputed to promote healthfulness and reduce ailments :) I’ve never tried herbal turtle soup before, but contrary to my expectation, the stock was brilliant! In Taiwan, they call the turtle ?.





The good thing about travelling is that you get to try all the different local food. Some Taiwan delicacies are just “weird” to my palette, therefore I dared not touch… for eg. pig’s blood curry…. ewwwww….


The best food I’ve tasted so far was Elate Pudding from Tainan and the ??? beef noodles from ?? (Tian Mu), Taipei.
