  • Babka brioche - chocolate and nuts - Preparation step 1Mix dry yeast with warm water and warm milk. Leave to rest for 10 minutes at room temperature.
  • Babka brioche - chocolate and nuts - Preparation step 2Put flour, sugar and salt in a bowl. Add melted butter, egg and vanilla. Pour the milk + water + yeast mix.
  • Babka brioche - chocolate and nuts - Preparation step 3Knead at low spead until homogeneous. Form a bowl, cover with a cloth and leave to rest for 2 hours at room temperature. Then, refrigerate for 1 hour.

    Mix melted chocolate, softened butter, cocoa powder and sugar.
  • Babka brioche - chocolate and nuts - Preparation step 5Spread the brioche dough over a floured work surface. Spread the chocolate spread on top. Baste some water on the borders.
  • Babka brioche - chocolate and nuts - Preparation step 6Crush the nuts and sprinkle on the chocolate spread. Roll the dough. Cut the roll in half lengthwise.
  • Babka brioche - chocolate and nuts - Preparation step 7Turn the stuffed parts upward and twist the two parts. Transfer in a greased cake mold. Leave to rest for 1 hour at room temperature.
  • Babka brioche - chocolate and nuts - Preparation step 8Bake for 25 min at 350°F (180°C). Prepare syrup : put water + sugar in a pan at low heat, mix and remove from heat after 10 minutes.
  • Babka brioche - chocolate and nuts - Preparation step 9Baste some syrup on top of your babka and bake again 5 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
