Baghrirs, the moroccan pancakes

These pancakes are moist and thick, perfect with some honey, and they will take you straight to North Africa!


Number of serving: 7
1.2 cup semolina (for dessert)

3/4 cup flour

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp salt

2 tsp baking powder

0.5 oz fresh yeast

2 cups water




  • Step 1 - Baghrirs, the Moroccan pancakes
    Put all the ingredients (except the honey) in a blender and mix well. Leave to rest for 1 hour.
  • Step 2 - Baghrirs, the Moroccan pancakes
    Heat a greased little pan. Pour a laddle of batter in it (it should be on high heat). Once there are a lot of little holes, put the heat on medium. Leave the pancake until it is cooked (without flipping it over).
  • Step 3 - Baghrirs, the Moroccan pancakes
    Those are served with honey on top of it, with a nice mint tea.

    There you are!
