You may know the croque-monsieur, a classic French sandwich with ham and cheese. Here, we’ve fused it with an American classic: pancakes! You are sure to love these savory pancakes!

Ingredients

For the pancake batter:

• 1.5 cups flour
• 3 eggs
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 packet baking powder
• 3 Tbsp oil
• 3/4 cup milk
• 4 slices of ham
• 4 slices of cheese

Materials

• Non-stick pan

Preparation

• In a bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
• Add the eggs and mix. Then, gradually add the milk while stirring.
  
• After greasing and heating a non-stick pan, pour a small ladle of batter onto it over medium heat. Place a slice of cheese and half a slice of ham on top.
• Cover with more batter, ensuring the ham is well covered.
  
• Flip the pancake and cook for a few minutes.
• And there you have it, your croque pancakes are ready!
