- Soak tamarind in water and extract juice from it.
- Heat oil in a pan, crackle mustard seeds and fry fenugreek seeds and curry leaves.
- To this add chopped onion and green chillies and fry till the onions become transparent.
- Add tamarind juice and heat it up. When it starts to froth, add jaggery and remove from heat. Perfect with hot steamed rice.
