Guilt-free Pasta!
I'm ashamed...my picture taking skills here sucked. To top it off, we only did one package of noodles. (Should've done 2) Alright, I know that we all love pasta. And I used to eat it all the time until I found out how fattening it was! I haven't touched pasta since, sort of... Did you know there are healthier substitutes for the noodles? You've already seen me used zucchini for the noodles. And truth is, the sauce isn't half bad. If you make it yourself, it's probably cheaper and you know what you're putting in it. So here's to healthy pasta! Ingredients: 2 tomatoes 2 Tbsp. garlic 2 Tbsp basil 1 pinch of crushed red peppers 2 tsp. pepper 3 tsp. salt 2 Shirataki noodles Parmesan cheese Chicken Breasts Mrs. Dash's Garlic Herb Seasoning Prep (5 minutes): Dice tomatoes and chop up the garlic and basil. Make sure these veggies are all chopped and ready to go for when you start cooking. This dish is all about timing. Preheat grill. So EASY! Method (20 minutes): We started off will grilling the chicken breasts (about 4 minutes each side) While they're grilling start up the noodles. Follow the instructions on the package. These are amazing! They are great because they have the same texture as your normal noodles with only 3 g. of carbs! As for the sauce, take out your pan and coat the bottom of it well with olive oil. The olive oil is going to help make the sauce so don't be afraid to use it. Then add your salt and pepper. Make sure you're adding it to a cold pan. That way it seasons the olive oil. Place on med-high heat until you see the pepper sizzle. Then add the garlic and heat for about 30 seconds. Add a pinch of crushed red pepper or more to your liking and 1/2 the basil. Continuously stir. Then add tomatoes. You're stirring constantly because you don't want the garlic to brown. Cook the tomatoes until they're soft (about a minute). Add the pasta. While it's still hot, add the parmesan cheese. Add rest of basil at the end. Finally cut up your chicken and toss it in with the rest of the pasta. Enjoy! related searches : Guilt
