Stop buying your plant-based drinks in the stores - make them yourself! With this recipe for homemade oat milk, we're proving that it's super-easy, super-fast and, above all, super-cheap! Don't throw mixed oats away! Also known as " okara", use it in cookie recipes in combination with almond powder to replace flour, for example ;-) Here we go with the steps and quantities:

Ingredients

Estimated cost: 0.55 (0.09€/serving)

Materials

  • 1 reusable filter bag (or clean cloth)

Preparation

  • In a blender, blend the cold water and rolled oats for 1 minute.
  • Place a filter bag in a bowl and pour the preparation into it. Squeeze until there is no liquid left in the bag.
  • Your oat milk is ready! All you have to do is pour it into a bottle and store in a cool place for 1 week.

Observations

My milk is thick: it's probably because the water wasn't cold enough. Feel free to add a little more to your bottle and stir to obtain the right texture.

Additional flavours: to vary the pleasures, don't hesitate to add cocoa powder, cinnamon or sugar to your drink.
