Pad thai with tofu

2 Tbsp oil

10 oz tofu

1 bell pepper

5 green onions

6 oz bean sprouts

2 garlic cloves

7 oz rice noodles

4 Tbsp soy sauce

3 Tbsp brown sugar

2 Tbsp rice vinegar

1 Tbsp lime juice

1 Tbsp fish sauce

  • Step 1 - Pad thai with tofu
    Cook your noodles in boiling water.
  • Step 2 - Pad thai with tofu
    Prepare sauce : mix brown sugar + soy sauce + rice vinegar + lime juice + fish sauce.
  • Step 3 - Pad thai with tofu
    Pour oil in a hot pan / wok. Add tofu cut into cubes and cook for about 5 minutes (until brown).
  • Step 4 - Pad thai with tofu
    Set aside and reuse the pan/wok. Add bell peppers and carrots cut into sticks. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 5 - Pad thai with tofu
    Add chopped garlic and green onions and bean sprouts. Sauté 1-2 minutes.
  • Step 6 - Pad thai with tofu
    Push the veggies to the edges of your pan/wok. Crack eggs in the center. Scramble until cooked.
  • Step 7 - Pad thai with tofu
    Add cooked noodles, grilled tofu and sauce and stir.
  • Step 8 - Pad thai with tofu
    Serve with fresh cilantro, fried onions, grilled peanuts and a lime wedge ! There you are, your pad thai is ready :D




We made it with tofu, but you can replace it with chicken or shrimps.
