- Make a smooth paste of fresh red powder, turmeric powder, tamarind paste, salt and little water.
- Add this paste to dry anchovies.
- Mix well and marinate for atleast 15-20 minutes.
- Heat a wok, add 3-4 tablespoons of oil.
- When hot, add the marinated anchovies and fry until crispy golden brown.
- Serve with cooked rice to steam, Rasam and Sambar.
