Ingredients

- 250 ml milk

- 250 g all purpose flour

- 125 grams brown sugar

- 5 tablespoons honey

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 2 teaspoons ginger powder

- 2-3 teaspoons cinnamon

- 125 g butter

- 2 large eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Melt the butter and honey together, let them cool.

Step 2

In a large bowl mix all the dry ingredients. Separately mix eggs with milk.

Step 3

Add to the dry ingredients and mix well (you can use a food processor all the time), than add melted butter and mix well until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 4

The result is a pretty liquid batter, but don”t worry in the oven will rise properly.

Step 5

Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 6

After the ginger cake has cooled on a wire rack, cut it into square shapes.

Step 7

Sift powdered sugar over cake pieces and serve.
