Lauki Stuffed with Mince
Lauki Stuffed with Mince You can use either mutton or chicken mince for the stuffing. For vegetarians, soy granules work out. Start to finish: 1 hour Serves: 4 Ingredients 2 small lauki ( about 8 - inches long ) 250 g mutton / chicken / soy mince 3 tablespoon vegetable oil 2 onions, finely chopped 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped 2 ripe tomatoes, chopped 1 tablespoon chilli sauce 1 tablespoon ketchup 2 teaspoon dried oregano 2 teaspoon butter, cut in small pieces 1 cup breadcrumbs , mixed with 2 teaspoon butter Method Heat oil in a pan, add the onions and fry until translucent. Add the garlic and fry some time. Add the ground meat / soy granules. Brown the meat / soy and add the tomatoes, chilli sauce, ketchup, oregano and cook well. Set aside to cool. Split lauki lengthwise; scoop out centres and chop the pulp finely. Mix the chopped lauki with the meat mixture. Stuff the lauki skins with the minced meat mixture. Dot each lauki with a little butter and sprinkle with breadcrumb mix. put lauki halves in a baking dish with about 1/2 cup water. Bake at 200 * C for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
