- Clean the vazhaipoo and keep it in a bowl of water with a tsp of curd added . Soak tamarind in the stock .
- Meanwhile , heat oil in a kadai . Add mustard , methi seeds ,red chillies and Jeera .Once it splutters , add chopped onion and saute till tender .
- Then add tomato,curry leaves and wait till it becomes skinny . Then add vazhaipoo and saute well. Cover with a lid. Cook in a slow flame .
- When it gets well cooked , add tamarind extract , little water and all the powders . Add 2 tbsps of oil , dissolved rice flour, jaggery and cover with a lid .Remove from the flame ,once the oil separates .
