  • Clean the fish well.
  • Add the oil to a pan and season with mustard,red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Now add the finely chopped onion and saute well.
  • Add the ginger and garlic and saute for sometime.
  • Once done,add the chopped tomato pieces.
  • Let this cook for a while.
  • Then add the chilli powder,turmeric powder and the coriander powder and cook till the raw smell disappears.
  • Once done,add the tamarind water and add salt to it.
  • Now add the fish and let it cook till the fish takes in the lovely masala and the water is absorbed by the heat.
