Ingredients

• Nethali meen/Sardines : 200 g
• Onion : 1,chopped finely
• Tamarind water : 1 tablespoons
• Mustard : 1/2 teaspoon
• Red chillies : 2
• Tomato : 1,chopped
• Curry leaves : few
• Garlic : Finely chopped
• Ginger : 1 cm,finely cut
• Chilli powder : 1/2 teaspoon
• Turmeric powder : 1/4 teaspoon
• Coriander powder: 2 teaspoons
• Oil : 1 teaspoon
• Salt to taste

Quick and easy sardine rillettes

Preparation

• Clean the fish well.
• Add the oil to a pan and season with mustard,red chillies and curry leaves.
• Now add the finely chopped onion and saute well.
• Add the ginger and garlic and saute for sometime.
• Once done,add the chopped tomato pieces.
• Let this cook for a while.
• Then add the chilli powder,turmeric powder and the coriander powder and cook till the raw smell disappears.
• Once done,add the tamarind water and add salt to it.
• Now add the fish and let it cook till the fish takes in the lovely masala and the water is absorbed by the heat.
