If there’s one salad that reigns supreme in homes during summer and on hot days, it’s undoubtedly Russian salad (which, it must be said, is only Russian in name). Cook the potatoes, carrots and egg in a saucepan with plenty of water and salt.
Remove the egg after 10 minutes, the carrot after 15 minutes and the potatoes after 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the homemade mayonnaise:
In a blender jar, add the egg, lemon juice and salt.
Blend everything without lifting the blender from the bottom of the jar. Meanwhile, slowly pour in the oil in a thin stream until the mayonnaise reaches the desired consistency. Set aside.
Once the potatoes and carrots are cooked and cooled, remove the skins, chop into pieces of the same size and place in a bowl.
Add the peas along with the shredded tuna to the bowl.
Now add the egg, peeled and cut into small pieces.
Add the homemade mayonnaise to the Russian salad mixture and stir well until all ingredients are well coated.
Let the salad stand in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
