Masala Poori - Spicy Poori

Masala poori is a variation of poori. Spices are used in the dough which gives the poori a unique taste and flavour. Masala Pooris can be had just plain with Indian Chai or even with a Potato or Paneer Sabzi.

Ingredients you will need for the Masala Poori:
1 cup wheat flour1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp pepper powder1/4 tsp turmeric powder1/2 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (jeera) powder. You could also use whole cumin seeds
1/4 tsp ajwain powder or ajwain seeds (Carom Seeds, Thymol Seeds, Oregano)1/2 tsp oil (optional)salt to tasteMethod to make the Masala Puris:

1:Mix all the spice powders and salt with the whole wheat flour. Add oil and knead into a firm dough with sufficient water. Roll out into medium sized puris and deep fry in hot oil.

2: Serve the masala pooris hot with your choice of vegetables.
