Mathulam Pazham 1

Small onion 10

Red chilli 3-4

Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

Green chilli 1

Curry leaves 1 sprig

Oil 5 tsp

Salt to taste


  • Cut the Pomegranate and take out the pulp alone in a plate and keep aside.
  • Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan. Fry the red chilli,tomatoes,onion into it. Grind this mixture in mixie by adding salt into it.
  • Dont add water because the tomatoes itself have enough water to grind.
  • Finely add the pomegranate pulp into the mixie and grind it also.
  • Meanwhile prepare the seasonings also in the same pan add 3 tsp oil and heat it.
  • Once the oil get heated add the mustard seeds wait until splutter. Add the curry leaves and green chilli,fry it for a while.
  • Add the grinded mixture in the pan,let it cook for 2 min. Finally replace it in a bowl.
