For lunchtime, we bring you a complete dish! Mozzarella-stuffed meatballs on a nice plate of spaghetti! Cooking them with tomato sauce makes them juicy with melted cheese in the center. You'll feel like you're in an Italian movie :D

  • Beef meatballs stuffed with mozzarella - Preparation step 1In a bowl, combine milk and breadcrumbs and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Beef meatballs stuffed with mozzarella - Preparation step 2Add the ground beef, ground pork, egg, chopped garlic, parmesan, and salt to the mixture and combine well with your hands.
  • Beef meatballs stuffed with mozzarella - Preparation step 3Take portions of the mixture and flatten them in your palm. Place a mini mozzarella ball in the center and close it to form a meatball.
  • Beef meatballs stuffed with mozzarella - Preparation step 4Refrigerate the meatballs for about 10 minutes to make them firmer.
  • Beef meatballs stuffed with mozzarella - Preparation step 5In a hot pan with olive oil, sear the meatballs on all sides over medium-high heat.

Observations

You'll have 9 meatballs for 3 servings.

* You can freeze the raw meatballs if you make extra. The day you want to cook them, take them out of the freezer to the fridge the night before, then follow the recipe from step 5 and you're good to go ;)

* If you're not a big fan of tomato sauce, you can cook them with any other type of sauce (béchamel, curry, pepper, honey and mustard...)
