What to do with chorizo: 9 easy, gourmet recipes to try out

Chorizo is the simple ingredient that gives you immediate flavor!

There are evenings when you want to cook quickly, but still want to eat something good. Something that tastes good, warms up well and doesn't take an hour to prepare. And when that's the case, chorizo is a really good idea!

A few slices in a pan, and everything changes. The smell, the taste, the gourmet touch. It doesn't take much to spice up a pasta dish, flavour a rice dish, add character to a muffin...

The big advantage is that you can use it in so many ways. In small pieces to spice up a dish, in grilled slices for a more generous version, or as an aperitif when you want to keep things simple but effective.

In short, if you've got chorizo in the fridge, you've already got a good basis for improvising a very gourmet meal ;)

Mild or strong chorizo: which to choose?

Mild chorizo is perfect if you want a pleasant taste without being too spicy.

Strong chorizo is stronger, with a more pronounced spiciness.

You can also choose according to recipe. Mild works very well in quiches or gratins. Strong chorizo is ideal for sauces or rice dishes.

Simple tip: sauté chorizo without fat. It will render its oil, and you can then cook the rest of the recipe in it.
