Have fun making these pretty spirals with the kids at snack time :-) A great idea when you don't know what to do with the shortcrust pastry lying around in the fridge ;-)

Unroll the shortbread dough. Sprinkle white sugar over the entire surface.
Roll up the dough again and chill for 10 minutes to harden (it will be easier to cut).
Cover the rolled-out shortcrust pastry with brown sugar and pat down so that the sugar sticks to the pastry.
Cut slices about 1 cm thick and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place in the oven for 15-20 min at 340°F/170°C. Shortbread should be lightly browned and caramelized. Remove from the oven and leave to cool. All set!
