Braised chinese mushrooms with roast pork

Ingredients

Number of serving: 2
200 g Chinese dried Mushrooms

200 g Roast pork cut to thick slices

15 g Rock sugar

3 1/2 cups Mushrooms water (strained liquid from soaking mushrooms)

3/4 teaspoons Salt or salt to taste

Preparation

  • Soak dried mushrooms until soft or soak overnight and cook it the next day.
  • Slightly squeeze excess water from soft mushrooms. Remove stems with scissors and discard.
  • Heat wok with 4 tablespoons of cooking oil, stir fry mushrooms until aromatic and add roast pork fry well.
  • Lastly pour in 3 cups mushrooms liquid and bring to boil then add rock sugar. Lower heat and simmer 1 1/2 hour and add salt.
  • When the mushrooms water beginning dries up a little add the balance 1/2 cup of mushrooms water into it.
  • Garnish cooked mushrooms and roast pork with some lettuce on serving plate and serve.
