- Take a pan and dry roast the sago for 3-4 minutes, once the sago start to splutter.
- Make the flame medium and add water and milk into the pan and stir occasionally .
- Add hot water if required until sago cooks. After sago cooks let all the water evaporate and it becomes bulky.
- Add sugar and stir for another 2 minutes. Once the sugar blends and all moisture evaporates add ghee and stir.
- Once the halwa does not stick to the pan add the color and stir nicely.
- Add the crushed cardomom, roasted cashews and fresh chopped almonds and mix nicely.
- Serve hot .
