Spicy pomfret fish curry
Ingredients
Number of serving: 4
Red chillies - 4
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 2
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Bay leaf - 1
Onion - 2 nos
Mustard - 1 tsp
Kus kus - 1/2 tsp
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon sticks - 2
Preparation
- Marinate fish with limejuice, turmeric powder and salt for 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the fish . Don't over fry , keep them aside .
- Meanwhile , heat oil in a kadai . Once hot , add mustard , curry leaves , jeera , red chillies , green chillies and bay leaf and saute for 2 minutes .
- Then add chopped onion and saute till tender .Mix in ginger-garlic paste . Then add all the powders , grinded powder and salt . Mix them well and add a cup of water .
- When it starts boiling , add the fish to it and cook with a lid . Cook till the oil leaves.
