Super creamy pasta salad, ready in 10 minutes
The season for picnics and outdoor meals is now open and what could be better than a delicious pasta salad to delight the whole family? Apart from the pasta, no ingredient requires cooking, so you will spend very little time behind the stove to make this recipe! A delicious tricolor salad with a good taste of Italy with cherry tomatoes and basil, all garnished with cream cheese which makes this salad creamy and delicious. An express meal, perfect for take-out!

Preparation
- Cook the pasta al dente in salted boiling water. When they are cooked, run them immediately under cold water to stop the cooking.
- Transfer the well-drained pasta to a salad bowl, add the halved cherry tomatoes, the black olives (also halved), the chopped basil leaves, a drizzle of olive oil and some pepper.
- Add the cream cheese and mix well until the pasta salad is creamy.
- Serve in a deep plate or keep in the fridge if you want to enjoy it later, and that's it!

How long can I store pasta salad?
Maximum 3 days in the refrigerator. Store it in an airtight container.
What shape of pasta to use for pasta salad?
All forms of short pasta will do, but we recommend fusilli or penne!
Which cream cheese to use for the salad?
We used Philadephia, but if you want to give more character to the pasta salad you can use fresh goat cheese or a flavored cream cheese (garlic and fine herbs, walnuts, shallots).
Which inrgedient can i add in this salad?
This pasta salad is a great zero-waste recipe. So you can add different ingredients depending on what you have in your cupboards! Artichoke hearts, cooked corn etc.
Which proteins to add in this salad?
You can add a hard-boiled egg, cooked chicken or cooked tuna, for example. Do not hesitate to use coral lentil pasta for example so that the vegetable proteins are already contained in the pasta!
Can I add pesto to this pasta salad?
Of course ! We advise you to mix it with the cream cheese and to work the preparation with a fork in order to form a homogeneous and creamy mixture.
What can I use instead of black olives?
You can use green olives or capers for example!
What can I use instead of cherry tomatoes?
You can make this recipe with sundried tomatoes if you wish, or grilled peppers for example.
