Ingredients

Number of serving: 4
Cooked potatoes-1 up

Carrot(chopped)-1/2 cup

Green peas-1/4 cup

Oats-1/4 cup

Onion(chopped)-1no

Green chillies(chopped)-1 teaspoons

Fennel seed-1/2 teaspoons

Red chilly powder-1/2 teaspoon

Garam masala powder-1/2 teaspoons

Salt-to taste

Oil-2 teaspoons

Oats (for crust)-1/4 cup

Preparation

  • Heat oil and splutter fennel seeds. Add onion and green chillies and saute till the onions are golden brown.
  • Dry roast 1/4 cup of oats till crisp and let it cool. Add carrot, green peas and saute for a minute.
  • Add red chilly powder, garam masala, roasted oats and salt and give a nice stir.
  • When the veggies are 3/4th cooked add the mashed potatoes and mix well. Remove from flame.
  • Let it cool a little. Divide the potato masal into small sized balls.
  • Shape them into cutlets. Grease a baking tray and arrange the cutlets on the tray.
  • Bake at 180C for 20 minutes. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
