6 red chillies

1/2 roasted belacan

Blend/ground to a coarse paste

3 cup cooked white rice

10 fresh prawns

3 shallots

3 cloves garlic

6 stalks kangkung/water spinach

3 tbsp olive oil

salt to taste


  • When oil is heated, fry the chilly paste, garlic, onion and prawns until the oil floats and the aroma is out.
  • Add in the rice and salt to taste. Keep stirring to mix all the ingredients into the rice.
  • Finally, add in the kangkung and scrambled eggs, keep stirring for 3-4 min and the fried rice is done.
