- Preheat oven to 180 C/350 F. Grease loaf pan and set aside.
- In a medium bowl sift the flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl add the oil, milk, egg, sugar and mashed bananas. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Then stir this into the flour mixture until blended.
- Pour into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 55 minutes to 1 hr or until a skewer comes out clean and the cake is just firm. When ready let it cool completely on a wire rack.
- Tip:
Serve with butter or cream cheese.

Thank you so much! I’ve been making this Banana Bread as written for over a year and it never fails. It has great banana flavor, and a good texture, not gummy or crumbly. I usually eat a good portion of it right after it cools, but then freeze the rest of it in slices so I can grab a quick yummy snack or breakfast. Thanks again for sharing!
