- In a pan dry roast cumin seeds,coriander seeds toss them on medium heat for 2-3 mt.
- Next drizzle some oil in the vessel, add the dry red chillies ,keep it aside.
- Now add the channa dal fry for 3 to 4 minutes,add asafoetida and fry for light brown color. Mix all the red chillies mix all mitures and add salt.
- In a same add curry leaves fry for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and keep it aside.
- Now make fine powder of the channa dal in a coffee grinder or blender. Sieve the channa dal powder and if desire grind once again and make a very fine powder.
- Serve hot with idly or white steamed rice and a oil or ghee.
