Beef tartare

Often ordered at restaurants, you can now make your steak tartare at home! This ultra-easy and quick recipe requires no cooking time :-) It's an even better dish when homemade and served with crispy, fluffy baked fries. Follow our step-by-step written and video recipe!

- 2.5-inch ring mold (optional)
Preparation
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, capers, and pickles.
Add the mustard, ketchup, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
Shape the tartare on the serving plate using a ring mold, a bowl, or by hand.
Create hollows in each tartare.
Place an egg yolk in each hollow.
And there you have it, your steak tartares are ready! Feel free to add garnishes on the plate so everyone can customize it to their liking. Mix the meat well before eating to incorporate the egg yolk.
Observations
Ground meat: The ground meat must be very fresh and should be chopped the same day. You can also ask your butcher for knife-chopped meat.
