Ingredients

Number of serving: 3
2 pieces chicken breast, cut in to 1 1/2 inch cubes

onion leek, sliced ( 1 1/2 inches)

1/2 cup soy sauce (plus additional for dipping)

1/2 cup sake (plus additional for dipping)

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon finely grated ginger

bamboo skewers

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sake, sugar and ginger.
  • Marinate cubed chicken into mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  • Alternately thread chicken and leek onto skewers.
  • Grill over medium-high flame, basting with marinade as it cooks.
  • Serve with fresh soy sauce and sake.
