Honey sunflower seed ice cream

Ingredients

• 2 cups whole milk
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 cup half and half
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/3 cup roasted and salted sunflower seeds
• 1/3 cup honey

Preparation

• In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer or whisk to combine the milk and sugar until the sugar is dissolved (about 1-2 minutes on low speed).
• Stir in the half and half and vanilla to taste. Turn ice cream machine on, pour mixture into freezer bowl through ingredient spout until thickened - about 20-25 minutes.
• Add honey and sunflower seeds in the last 5 minutes of mixing.
