  • Grind coconut with jeera and keep aside.chop mango into 4 pieces. Cook dal in a pressure cooker adding enough water, salt and turmeric powder.
  • Now add the chopped spinach / cheera along with slit green chilly and red chilly powder. Boil for a minute.
  • Add mango pieces and cook till soft. If you don't want the curry to be little sour you don?t need to add mango.
  • Now add the ground coconut mixture and stir well and boil for a minute. Remove from fire.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seed and then add red chilly and curry leaves and add them to the curry.
  • Serve with rice or chapathi.
