Mix crumbs and flour.

Add suet and raisins.

Chop the figs and add to mixture with fig syrup.

Add milk to moisten, and beat to mix.

Pour into a bowl of pudding with butter and cover with paper, cloth or plastic film.

Place in a steamer and boil / steam for 3-3 1/2 hours.
