  • Mix crumbs and flour.
  • Add suet and raisins.
  • Chop the figs and add to mixture with fig syrup.
  • Add milk to moisten, and beat to mix.
  • Pour into a bowl of pudding with butter and cover with paper, cloth or plastic film.
  • Place in a steamer and boil / steam for 3-3 1/2 hours.
