A very healthy starter or snacks for everyone. Believe me, they are yummy. They say soya contain more protein than meat, milk and wheat. So, I always think of different ways to make it delicious, to make my family eat it. This dish goes well in parties, tea time snacks and also a side dish for rasam and sambar.

  • Boil water and add soya chunks. Cook for 5 min and let cool.

Wash 2-3 times under tap, Drain and squeeze out excess water.
  • Take a mixer jar and add soya chunks and grind like kheema (not into a fine paste)

Take the grounded soya in a bowl, add besan, rice flour, onion, ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, mashed potato, coriander leaves, garam masala, spring onion and salt.
  • Mix well to form a nice dough.
Take a lemon size dough (or bigger, the size is your choice) and roll them into small balls.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add the balls and fry them on low flame until golden brown.
Drain on paper napkin and serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
