After the flankie, or the brookies, you've definitely seen this trend that's taken the Internet by storm: crookies! This creation combines the French croissant that we love and the delicacy of a soft cookie dough inside. You'll see that it's super easy to make and impossible to resist, perfect for a snack or a brunch gourmet break!

- In a bowl, place the softened butter, brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla extract. Mix everything together with a wooden spoon.
- Add the egg and mix well.
- Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well to have a compact dough.
- Add chocolate chips and mix.
- Cut your croissant dough into triangles. Put a small piece of cookie dough on top of the triangle base.
- Flatten the cookie dough piece the roll the croissant dough to form the croissant.
- Add more cookie dough on top of the croissant.
- Put the crookies on top of a baking tray with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
- And there you are, your crookies are ready! Enjoy!
Observations
Can you use ready-made croissants?
You can definitely use fresh croissants bought ready-made in a bakery. Just cut them lengthwise and place your cookie dough inside!
Can you use frozen croissants?
Of course, you just have to make sure they are well defrosted to make cutting easier! We recommend pre-baking them and then cutting them!
