Potato carrot vegetable soup

Ingredients

• For the spice bundle
• 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
• 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp black pepper seeds
• 1 stick cinnamon
• 1 star anise
• 2 cloves
• 1 cardamom
• **Wrap and bundle these spices in a little piece of muslin cloth
• 2 potatoes - cubed into medium size pieces
• 1 carrot - cubed into medium size pieces
• 4 shallots - chopped
• 1 1/2 tbsp salted butter
• 2 sprigs garden or Chinese parsley
• 1/2 liter vegetable stock
• Pepper and salt for taste
