Observations
How do you make Big Mac-style sauce for these wraps?
The sauce is made by mixing finely chopped relish or pickles, mayonnaise, white vinegar, American mustard, garlic powder, paprika and onion powder to obtain a tasty, balanced flavor. You can of course replace it with the sauce of your choice, such as a burger sauce, or even with my favorite sauce: sriracha mayonnaise ;-)
Can I use another protein instead of ground beef in this recipe?
Yes, you can use other types of ground meat such as chicken, turkey, or even a vegetarian alternative to adapt the recipe to your preferences.
What's the secret to a crisp, golden wrap?
The secret is to heat the panini maker or pan well before grilling the wrap, and brown it for a few minutes on each side until it's nice and crispy.
How can I adjust the recipe to make it lighter or lower in calories?
To lighten the recipe, you can reduce the amount of mayonnaise, use a lighter version, or replace the cheddar with a lighter cheese. You can also opt for whole-wheat wraps.
What quick and easy side dishes go best with these Big Mac-style wraps?
Home fries, a fresh green salad or crunchy vegetables such as carrot or cucumber sticks are perfect accompaniments to complete this quick and economical dish.
