This is a filling and a quick dish -obviously quick enough when you have a book to read,but also a stomach to fill.

  • Drain tofu in paper towels for atleast 15-20 minutes and crumble into pieces.
  • Finely chop onion,garlic,ginger,green chilly,tomato and coriander leaves.Keep aside half of the coriander leaves for garnishing.
  • Heat oil in a pan/kadai,add onions,chillies,ginger,garlic and few tbsps of chopped coriander leaves and saute till the raw smell disappears and it becomes transparent.
  • Add in tomatoes,salt and turmeric powder and saute for a few minutes till oil separates or it starts to get cooked.Add in crumbled tofu and mix well.
  • Adjust salt and optionally add pepper as per taste. Garnish with remaining coriander leaves. Serve with bread.
