Cabbage and tomato soup or cabbage stir-fry

Ingredients

Number of serving: 2
2 cloves garlic

1 cm knob ginger

2 tablespoons ground chicken

3-4 fresh shitake mushrooms

1/2 teaspoon dark soy sauce

1 tablespoon Chinese cooking wine

1/2 head round cabbage

salt and white pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Heat some oil in pan/wok, add ginger, then garlic and fry till fragrant.
  • Add the ground chicken, breaking up into smaller bits while frying to brown it, adding soy sauce, and then cooking wine.
  • Add mushrooms and mix well with the meat bits. Add cabbage, fry and mix with mixture.
  • Add 3-5 tablespoons of water, then cover pan and allow to simmer till cabbage turns tender.
  • Add salt and white pepper to taste, then simmer till mixture reduces.
